Weave-it-Yourself: Inabel Workshop

You ART Not Alone

Learn how to weave the beautiful Inabel pattern using a modern frame loom.

The Inabel pattern used in this workshop was shared by a local weaving community in Ilocos Sur with the hopes of passing on the craft to the next generation. The artist has translated and refreshed it for modern weavers.

A portion of the proceeds from this workshop will go into purchasing sewing machines for the local community in support of their small textile business.

This workshop is made possible through the support of the following donors:

League of Corporate Foundations (LCF), LFC Art & Wellness Committee, BASF

BPI Foundation, Felicidad T. Sy Foundation, Metrobank Foundation, Resorts World Manila and UnionBank Foundation

Judith Basco is a modern maker and weaver. She started The Art of Yarn studio in October 2018 in the pursuit of discovering more about yarn and fiber art. She loves to mix different fiber arts together and to explore different techniques. She has practiced knitting, crocheting, macramé, embroidery, punch needle and weaving.

She started teaching the art of modern weaving in March 2019 to spread the love for the craft and to grow the community of modern weavers.
