This work is a collage based work that weaves the interconnection of community and nature through the reflection of 'ubuntu', an African philosophy which means "humanity" or "I am because we are." Our identity is fully realized when we recognize the value of other people - living fully the ideals of acceptance, empathy, co-existence and other human ideals despite differences. Union and harmony among humanity is possible when the Self is through the lens of others.

This African philosophy was localized in its mural translation to make it more relevant to a Filipino audience.
